Spike Jonze is the director, he worked with very different people such as Bjork... and the Jackass!
He also made one of my favorite music video, I remember discovering this with my cousin some years ago. "Drop" by The Pharcyde.

Paid Dues Festival Part I
I trully loved being in NY enjoying some live shows, so here we go today with a video of the Paid Dues Feastival @ Nokia Theater.
IT was a great event and I'm going to split it in two to make sure that you can see everything!
Today, 5 performers.
First Yak Ballz from Queens, then Kids In The Hall a duo from New Jersey/Chicago (probably my favorite performance for today's video). After came an amazing break with Human Beat Box Scratch and freestyler Supernatural (he worked with the Wu-Tang and Assassin!). And to conclude for today, another duo from California that time : Blackalicious.

Tear Drop
Those guys adopted a baby lion, once the animal got too big the reintroduced him into the wild world.
The lion actually became the leader of its pride. A year after the lion came back to Africa, the two guys who used to educated him came to Africa to "visit" the lion...And guess what happened !
Amazing! Life is beautiful! lol

Talib Kweli
Movie Maker did not resist! But blogspot.com did!
So here we start, with Talib Kweli. One of my favorite rapper, I'm so happy I had the chance to see him in live!
And you won't believe how close I was! The show took place at the B.B. King Blue Club on 42nd street, Time Square.
The concert was part of an event called "Rock To The Darfur". All proceeds from tickets sales went to organizations dedicated to end the suffering in Sudan.
"If skills sold/truth be told/I’d probably be/lyrically, Talib Kweli" Jay-Z

Movie Maker isn't working on my laptop anymore, it's gonna be hard for me to put nice videos of the concerts I've been!
I'll try to work it out!
So today instead, I gotta confess something...
Some years ago, when I was really young like 6 years old, I was a big fan of ... Jean Michel Jarre ! lol
French people are probably laughing, others might wonder who is that guy! Here is a video of one of his performance he had all around the world:
Did you see that amazing Laser Harp? lol
I remember drawing the most elaborated drawing of my entire life after his concert at Mont-Saint Michel, I wish I could find it and post it, I was so proud of it! lol
I know this is cheap, but I loved it, that's it!
I LOVE JEAN MICHEL JARRE! Then what?

Seeing Sounds
Let's stay in music for a while, today i wanna talk about the last album from N*E*R*D.
This an "alternative rock hip hop whatever you want" band composed by Shay, Chad Hugo and Pharrell Williams. N*E*R*D stands for No-one Ever Really Dies.
The album came on June 10th (just like Lil Wayne that I've also bought) and it's a really good one.
I saw N*E*R*D in live in Houston few weeks ago, and you can find pretty quick on the album the energy they give on stage.
I bought the album in Pharrell's Store : Billionaire Boys Club in Soho, it's probably my favorite store in NY, unfortunately, this album was probably the only thing I could afford the this place! lol
Love the bag!
So the album is great, don't try to label it, just enjoy it! Most of the songs have kind of two different style put the transition is made so easily once the second has started you forget that they were a previous one, it's crazy! I've put put it in the Hip Hop category of my iTunes but major part of the album sounds more rock, funk or lounge, if you really need to put a label on it, just say Good Music.
There is 12 songs on the album, the two first singles are Everyone Nose and Spaz that you probably already know. Are a short selection of my favorite tracked on the album.
Time For Some Action :
Spaz :
Anti Matter :
Sooner or Later :
N*E*R*D is kinda everywhere here in NY, on buses, in the subway, they are part of the campaign for the 100th Anniversary of Converse.
This Chad (on the left) and Shay (on the right of course)
Pharrell is also involved with the campaign with a song featuring Santogold and Julian Casablancas, My Drive Thru :
P.S. : My dogs are arriving today for two weeks! Aurél, Nico and Steph are crossing the Atlantic Ocean to see me, so I might not be able to blog that much within the next few days, don't hate! I'll be back soon with some good stuff for you!
